The Living out Faith website incorporates the experiences, cultures and histories of Black communities into teaching about and reflection on Christian faith and life. It provides:
v Lessons for RE – This material grew out of Growing into Hope, two volumes of Christian Education material for multi-ethnic churches. This original material has been adapted and developed for a non-confessional, school context (KS2 – KS3).
v
v Faith Stories - Here, people share their stories and talk about different aspects of their faith. You will also find people talking about the role of prayer in their lives
Also featured on this site:
v Freedom – here you will find resources for reflection on life, faith, God, Church and Biblical text through the lens of Black Theology
Our aim is to contribute to a more diverse depiction of Christianity and to include the perspectives, histories and experiences of Black communities in the exploration of themes around Christian faith
We aim to continually develop the site, by adding to the existing content. In order to help us do that, we would appreciate your feedback. Which sections have you used? What did you like about them? Was there anything you had difficulties with or would do differently? How have people responded to using the material? We are interested in hearing your views.
